A place to call "Home"

Daral (My Lover) and I once lived at Chase Commons.  We actually had two different units. 

 But now we have aquired a home close by.  We found a house that had been vacant for 7 years. 

 We spent two months working on it before we could move in.  After about 6 months we were getting quite settled. 

 And when the first year was over we had finished all the major tasks, with some finish work was still needed. 

Here are some before and afters.                                                    

We kept the front door, made new woodwork and installed new windows.  The living room has 9 foot 9 inch ceilings and measures 15' X 15'. 

Two walls are dark green and the other two walls a buttery tan.                                                                                                       

                                                            Here is what we started with.   And this is how the Kitchen looks now.  The cabinets are oak with two colors of stain Red Oak and Walnut and finished with several coats of Tung Oil. The custom countertops were made with an Oak edging so it could also be stained to match the cabinets.
